Happy Tuesday! This Tuesday is one of my favorites because a new course just went live! I’m often asked how I created my watercolor leaves and florals kit, so instead of describing it, I decided to teach it all! All 4 hours of the *entire* process from painting to selling 😉 In Watercolor Florals for Graphic Design, you’ll learn how to paint, digitize, enhance and sell digital watercolor florals online. This week I wanted to share the course’s trailer and go over a summary of all the class details. The course’s clickable resources list is available as a free download below, so you have everything you need to get started. Read on to grab those details!

Next Monday, March 26th, I’ll be releasing my newest course titled Watercolor Florals for Graphic Design! I’m often asked how I created this watercolor leaves and florals kit, so I thought I’d share the entire process, from start to finish. In the course, you’ll learn how to paint, scan, digitize, enhance and sell digital watercolor florals. Part of creating florals meant to be used digitally (in Illustrator, Photoshop or templates you’d like to sell) require them to be created individually (vs. painting a full bouquet). Once they’re created and edited, you can then create an infinite number of arrangement and bouquet combinations using them. This makes painting just a few florals to start with really powerful, because they can lead to a large kit full of options.

Even though the course officially opens next Monday, today I wanted to share a video from the course on how to paint 4 loose style small watercolor florals. I’m giving away the course’s clickable resources list for free in this post, so you’ll have everything  you need to get started. If you’re an Every-Tuesday subscriber, you’ll also receive a special gift in your email the day the course opens 😉 Read on for the full tutorial and free resources download!

Happy Tuesday! These Tuesdays are my favorite because I get to share a class I love and send it out into the world. Today’s class, Fantastic Flourishes, is no different. Being the obsessed-with-lettering kind of person I am, flourishes have a big place in my heart. If you’ve ever wanted to draw better flourishes, integrate them into letters or create hand lettered layouts with beautiful flourishing, this class was made for you. The class is packed with helpful guides, practice sheets, cheat sheets and more. Get all the details and see the full class trailer below!

Today is one of the biggest days to date on Every-Tuesday. Our very first long-form, self hosted course (only available on every-tuesday) is officially open today, titled Brush Lettering with Watercolor!

Two years ago, I decided to go all-in with my brush lettering. I tried (what felt like) every supply out there, watched demos, looked at inspiration, read books, you name it. My lettering was improving very slowly, and I experienced a lot of frustration. A lot of overwhelm. A lot of second guessing. It felt like I was doing everything right, but my outcomes just didn’t feel like they were quite there. I started implementing a few new techniques and that’s when things really took a turn for me. I remember the night it finally came together so well, like I had cracked a special code.

Happy Tuesday! Today is one of my favorite kinds of Tuesdays, because I get to share a brand new class with you! I’m not going to lie, this class was a lot of work to prepare and record. There were 3 days where I was up until 5am putting every last detail in, so today, I’m breathing easier. 🙂 If you’ve followed along in past classes like Waterbrush Lettering Essentials and Bounce Lettering, you already have the perfect foundation for this one. Instead of a class focused on how to hand letter, this one is all about using your hand lettering.

Happy Tuesday! I’m so excited I get to bring my newest online class to you this week, Mastering Mockups! In the class, we take original artwork, apply a little photoshop trickery, and put that artwork on products which look convincingly real. This is the perfect sales tool if you’re a seller on Etsy and need better product photography, if you’re a freelancer who wants to impress and convince your client to approve the artwork you created for them, or if you’d like to level up your design portfolio making fictitious projects come to life. You can also use the class’s techniques to create social media posts, blog images, digital product sales pages and more. Your enrollment in the class gets you all 4 base photos used in the class for free. With those photos, you’ll be able to follow along, completing every step as we go 😉

Keeping with tradition, I’m sharing the class trailer today, along with a bonus lesson from the class. In this lesson, we’ll create a single use, social media mockup. Are you ready to mock?! Everything below!

My brand new Skillshare class, Bounce Letters: Adding Character to your Hand Lettering, is officially live! To celebrate its launch, today I wanted to share the trailer for the class, as well as a sneak peek of one of the class videos which you’d only see if you were enrolled. Below the video, I’ve also included links to everything you saw mentioned in the sneak peek if your current lettering supplies could use a few more friends 😉

If you’ve taken Waterbrush Lettering Essentials, this is the perfect follow up class to take your own personal lettering style that much further. In the class, we talk about how bounce is influenced on letter direction, how much exaggeration is *just* enough, the best places to add bounce and not add bounce, as well as some practice words to get you started. Have a peek below for everything covered in the class!

My newest Skillshare class, Watercolor Textures for Graphic Design, went live on Monday, and I’m so excited to share that nearly 1,000 wonderful creatives have already enrolled in the class! Creating watercolor textures from scratch – the act of sitting with a brush in hand, swirling colors together in unique ways – is one of my favorite times to relax and kind of let the art be made without thinking too hard. It’s definitely easy to lose track of time once you get started, but also awesome to then have so many cool new textures to work with. If you’re ever short on ideas on how you can start using those newly created textures, today I’m rounding up a bunch of inspiration with ways to start applying your watercolor textures in graphic design. Read on to see them all!

Happy Tuesday! This week I’m excited to announce my newest Skillshare class, Watercolor Textures for Graphic Design. If you’ve ever wondered how watercolor textures like this and this are created, color enhanced and removed from their backgrounds, this class covers it all! We even finish the class creating seamless, repeatable watercolor texture patterns you’ll be able to apply to any of your Photoshop designs in just a couple of clicks 🙂 As a special gift to blog readers and youtube subscribers, this week I’m sharing the class trailer, as well as one of the videos from the class you wouldn’t otherwise get to see without enrolling. If you’ve never tried Skillshare before, you can watch the full class for free (and any other Skillshare classes for an entire month) using this link. Hope to see you in the class!

My brand new Skillshare class, Metallic Magic, just launched! I’m so excited to share the Photoshop tricks I learned when creating the Glitz + Glam Kit. In the class, I take you step by step, providing all of the color builds and settings you need to create your own digital foil from scratch in Photoshop. The class finishes up with us applying the foil textures we create to social media posts for quick sharing in any network you choose. By enrolling in the class, you’ll receive a free social media sizes cheat sheet, resources pdf and special glitter file ✨ If you’ve never tried Skillshare before, you can enroll in the class for free by using this link! In celebration of the class launch, I wanted to share the class trailer today so you can see everything you’ll be able to make after you take the class!

Hope your weeks are going well and if they aren’t, tomorrow’s Friday! I have a little survey favor to ask if you can spare (literally) 10 seconds today (please don’t cringe!). Every week, I try to think of things I wish I would have known when I was first getting started or while I was fully established in my career. I want to make this site as helpful as possible for anyone feeling unsure, intimidated or just wanting to learn a little more about being in the field or designing new work. I’m playing around with the idea of creating a full course on a design topic so things can go a little deeper than a 15 minute vid. Obviously this would be a big time commitment, so I’d like to make sure I spend that time on a topic that will be the most useful to readers of this blog. So! My little survey is only one question (hence your 10 seconds) which you can answer by clicking the box of your choice below. Thanks so much in advance! Have a great rest of your week with the extra karma I’m sending your way 😉
