Happy Tuesday! I’ve got some fun flat florals for you today using a symmetry method that works perfectly for stationery! By using a symmetrical frame shape centered on the canvas, we can repeat the elements as they’re drawn and they’ll be placed exactly where they need to go! This is an advanced tutorial (we use layer order and layer masking quite a bit), so if you need a quick refresher, drop into my free Procreate for Beginners course for everything you’ll need 😉

The messy watercolor style is so versatile: add as much or as little mess as you’d like, but make sure nothing is perfect! Let the perfectionist pressure go and simply have fun making a mess 😉 While my new course focuses heavily on illustration, I thought it would be fun to share how I apply this style to lettering this week. This will give you a peek into the messy process and you can even use the free sampler brushes I gave away last week for it!

It’s time for our final tutorial (no.6) in this year’s holiday series! But don’t worry – I still have a New Year’s design up my sleeve for next week 😉 Today, we’re creating holiday lights, surrounding them with evergreen elements and then making our bulbs and lettering glow! I’m labeling this an intermediate tutorial, but there are a few advanced skills thrown in, too, if you’re up for an extra challenge.

I just loooove a layered illusion, especially when it’s made of simple elements where your eyes don’t have to focus on a zillion things. What’s better is being able to replicate that same process with any element! Today I’m sharing a really easy method for an impactful depth illusion and we’re doing it all with *one* brush. Use this on stationery, social media posts, quote graphics…you name it!

Happy Tuesday! Today we’re creating something I love, love to make – digital stickers! This is such a fun effect to apply to your work because it looks like they’re actually lifting up off the screen!

I’m labeling this tutorial as advanced because there are several steps utilizing different methods to achieve our look. If you’re an intermediate Procreate user, this will be a fun challenge project to do! Once you have the steps down, you can apply the effect to any graphic you’d like.

This week is our most advanced project of them all, so if you’re just starting out with Procreate, be sure to check out vid 1 + 2 first. In this tutorial, we’ll be creating a sealed floral love letter surrounded by flat style forget me not flowers. We’ll build our envelope from scratch by utilizing a sketch layer with drawing guides, then layer on color and elements for a final piece that is embellished with lettering.
