Freebie: August 2019 Desktop Wallpapers

It’s the last day in July, which means it’s time for your free August 2019 desktop wallpapers! This month’s wallpaper was entirely created in Procreate, with just the dates added in using Photoshop and my font, Miss Magnolia. For more on Procreate flourishing + basics, check out my free course, Procreate for Beginners! I really enjoyed altering my flourish style a bit for July’s wallpaper, so I wanted to play around some more for August! All of the lettering + doodles were made using my free Procreate Monoweight Brush (available in the Resource Library). For the dates, ‘R’ is for Thursday, to distinguish it from a same-sized Tuesday ‘T’ at a glance.

The download includes the August 2019 desktop wallpapers in two common resolutions: 1280x1024px and 1920x1080px, with and without dates. I’ve left the year off of the ‘no-dates’ versions, so you can use it for any August in the future, too!

In July, Spence and I overhauled my studio space. We updated our lighting, camera equipment, layout, paint and even got some shiplap on the walls 🙂 A full studio tour is coming soon, promise!

I’ve now officially switched back to weekly tutorials on YouTube. Some tutorials will have a corresponding blog post, others won’t, so the best way to stay updated is hitting that bell icon over on my channel! You can expect to see a lot more lettering + Procreate tutorials + projects in the weeks to come with a bunch of helpful freebies, especially if you’re just getting started or are looking to improve.

This month, we’ll be recording a bunch of new content that I can’t wait to share. My mom will be in town keeping Tuesday company, so we should be able to get a lot done in a short amount of time 🙂 Yay, family!
