Chances are you’ve come across illusion shadows before..shadows behind photos or elements that give the illusion the image is ‘floating’, bent on the sides, or somehow not lying completely flat. These shadows are super simple to create, and in this tutorial we’ll make 3 different kinds (shown above), as well as the polaroid style photo frames they lie behind. Let’s get started!
If you’d like to use the same recycled paper pattern for your background, you can pick it up here.

Loving your new site design!!! Congrats to you and Spencer for being so diligent and sticking with it all!! The payoff is beautiful! Now it’s way easier for me to travel back and see all the tutorials I missed before I started following you! You should do a throw back Thursday post, where you take an old blog post, refresh with it, and put a new little tweek on it! I feel like I missed so much, but now I have a ton of new little things to learn from you! <3 <3 Thanks for doing what your doing!

Thanks so much Sam! And that’s a pretty cool idea, will have to think about that (though I’m a little embarrassed by the older ones since it feels like so much progress since then!)
