In this week’s tutorial, we’ll hand letter the word ‘Father’ in Adobe Illustrator in honor of Father’s Day. We’ll use a wacom tablet to draw the letterforms, then clean up our points using our direct select tool. This is my personal technique when lettering and we’ll use a monoweight style for this, which has gained popularity lately. Let’s get started!

My only negative comment to you is It’s so hard for me to hear you. So quiet! My daughter always has the TV on and it’s hard to hear your voice over that. Otherwise I love what you do!! Followed along with your wedding invitation yesterday. <3

I know – I’m sorry! This was one of my first tutorials wayyy back when I first started and it took me a little bit to get my mic settings right. Every tutorial from the past year + has better audio, promise!
