As Spence and I continue brainstorming our wedding invites, I’ve had flourishes and frame elements on the brain a lot lately. It’s so much harder (but so rewarding!) when you’re designing something for yourself! This past weekend I designed a whole set of flourishes + frames in my pursuit to exhaust every option. 🙂

My flourish extravaganza has led to this week’s freebie: a set of vector flourishes and frame elements for Illustrator, CS3 or newer.

It’s always a good idea to have some reliable fonts in your arsenal with a bit of character – in this case retro flair – and that’s just what Haymaker + Roper provide. While Haymaker offers users a pay-what-you-want option, it’s limited with weight and texture. That’s where Roper comes in. Roper’s similar in style, but is packed with options, and at $12 a pop for any version you’re looking for, it’s affordable too.

Happy 2015! To ring in the new year freebie-style, this week’s freebie is a set of 5 unique hand drawn vector bursts. Use these on invitations, web banners, social media posts and more. I’ve found they’re perfect for creating more energy in your layouts, as well as providing a focus wherever you let the center of the burst lie. Download includes all 5 bursts as an ai and eps file for versions of Illustrator, CS3 or newer. Read on for the download link + larger preview images!

I’ve decided to change the fonts-I-dig format up a bit – showing you some fonts I’m really into that you can get for free and a more thorough + similar purchased one. Many times free fonts don’t come stocked with glyphs you’re likely to use..sometimes they’re even missing some basic punctuation. So if the free one is doing it for you but you just want more, listed below you’ll find a similar font for a fee.

Happy Tuesday + happy almost Thanksgiving! In honor of one of our best holidays, this week’s freebie is a set of 4 unique, hand lettered mini thank you cards. The download includes all 4 in a pdf with printing, cutting + folding instructions. Final printed + folded size is 4″x2″ which -fancy this- fits perfectly in the mini envelopes freebie! Use these babies to thank a friend by attaching to a bouquet of flowers, or as a placecard on your Thanksgiving, or any table 🙂 And a HUGE, special + heartfelt thank YOU for visiting, downloading, watching + commenting. You’ve really made all the time + effort it takes to add content on a weekly basis so worth it! It’s been a great blogging year, and I can’t wait to do it all again – even more frequently in the coming year 🙂 xoxo

Happy Tuesday! And Happy Veteran’s Day! My father is a veteran (Marines), both of my grandfathers were veterans (both Navy), and my brother is currently an Air Force pilot, so I have lots to be proud of and grateful for today 🙂 Spence and I actually just got back from California visiting my brother, his wife, and my brand new nephew (born in July) who made me an Aunt for the first time. I’ll be posting a few pics soon from our too-short-of-a-trip. With family on the mind and knowing I’ll be seeing my family again soon for the holidays, this week’s freebie is a set of 2 hand lettered holiday invitation printables. Both are sized 5″x7″ and can fit perfectly in any A7 envelope. If you’d like to pick up the greeting postcard editable version of these + 2 more, you can grab them here.

Happy Tuesday! This Tuesday is one of my favorite Tuesdays because I’m spending it with my parents (haven’t seen them since Christmas)! They made the 17 hour trek from upstate NY to help me and Spence fix up some minor things that our new home’s inspection report found. So thankful in times like these for a dad with super handyman skills who likes to drive long distances 🙂 Anyway, in honor of things created + performed by hand, I present you with two awesome handmade paper patterns this week!

Hey friends, I’m back! Thanks so much for understanding the small break – we’re still very much in the midst of unpacking + cleaning every square inch of the apartment, but we’re here – we are officially in our house as homeowners 🙂 We couldn’t have asked for things to move smoother – we found the house within 2.5 weeks of looking and officially owned it 3 weeks later! If anyone is looking for a realtor in or around Atlanta, let me know and I’ll hook you up 😉 Anyway! With a house so much on the brain, it seemed only right to make some real estate/home themed icons!
