You know how you see Christmas decorations when it’s only Halloween? I feel kind of like that with sharing a free printable Father’s Day card today. Well, we are less than a month out, so it’s not as crazy as the Christmas in October shenanigans, so I think we’re cool. I gave away the free Mother’s day card two weeks before the holiday and it had such a great response, I felt bad I hadn’t shared it sooner. So! To make sure the option for a free semi-diy Father’s Day card is on the table earlier on, here it is, along with your 3 week notification the holiday is coming 🙂
The free printable Father’s Day card download includes the hand lettered card as a pdf that can be printed with any home printer on 8.5″x11″ paper. The final, folded card size is 6″x4″ which fits perfectly in any A4 sized envelope.

Can’t wait for the AI file! I legit am waiting on you to bust out with new skillshare classes. Redundant but you definitely have a gift for teaching. I love that you explain the whys behind wach step you take. Thank you.
Also. This may sound silly. But as I explore illustrator I’ve been wanting to know if there is a way to turn a photograph into a graphic. Not a vector per say but an actual graphic. Like for example, if I were to photograph some flowers and then make them into a graphic to then post on a card to then make available for print.
I hope i made sense. In hindsight. This should have been emailed ;]

Aww thanks so much! Those kinds of comments push me to make the best content I can 🙂 So grateful for the time you spend here!
I think I get your question – basically taking a photograph and recreating parts of it in Illustrator from scratch? This was one of the first things I learned in my college Illustrator class so I’m so glad you reminded me of it! Definitely deserves an upcoming tutorial!

I’ve been getting more comfortable with illustrator and I’d love to continue growing. Thanks so much!!

Hey Gustav! Thanks for the feedback! I’ve got it on my schedule for a Tuesday in June 🙂 Thanks for sharing that pin – super helpful as I plan for it!
I had no idea Mother’s/Father’s day was so different! I’ll have to do more international research next year – I guess I’m even earlier than I thought!
