Last week, I mentioned a new portfolio tips + advice series starting today and leading up to an ebook being released later this month called Full Time Graphic Design. In this week’s video, we’ll walk through how to pick out the right design projects to put in your portfolio and craft it in a way that highlights your strengths as a designer and sets you up for an interview with intention, rather than a general collection of work that spans every discipline of graphic design. Choosing the right work for your portfolio will play a pivotal role in not only reaching out to potential employers to land an interview, but for the interview itself. Watch below to see all of my tips!
How to Select Work for your Portfolio

When I was doing photography I had a physical portfolio book I would show potential clients, then after a while I went completely to a on line portfolio.
What is the accepted method today for designers, if you are sitting in the employers office being interviewed do you give him a thumb drive?
Thanks Teela
PS. how’s your dog doing, happy to have company all day now?

Hi Teela! I found you a couple of days ago. Your tutorials are awesome! I am a beginner animator – illustrator and I’ve learned so much in two days! Really helped me! Thank you for sharing your textures and kits, they are really useful! <3

Hey Teela thanks for this. I’m just graduating from a Graphic Design program and want to be a Package Designer so it was perfect! Now I’m going to watch ordering your portfolio and see if my current portfolio is in a good order.
THANKS SO MUCH!!!
