Freebie: February 2019 Desktop Wallpapers

It’s the last Thursday in January, which means it’s time for your free February 2019 desktop wallpapers! This month’s wallpaper was entirely created in Procreate, with just the dates added in using Photoshop and my font, Miss Magnolia. This month, I used some of the tips from my 3D Lettering in Procreate course to create a fun dimensional lettering feel with a nod to Valentine’s Day 🙂 All of the lettering + doodles were made using my free Procreate Monoweight Brush (available in the Resource Library). The small glitter details in the background were added using my Procreate Metallic Texture Kit. For the dates, ‘R’ is for Thursday, to distinguish it from a same-sized Tuesday ‘T’ at a glance.

The download includes the February 2019 desktop wallpapers in two common resolutions: 1280x1024px and 1920x1080px, with and without dates. I’ve left the year off of the ‘no-dates’ versions, so you can use it for any February in the future, too!

Freebie: February 2018 Desktop Wallpapers

While my husband, Spence, recovered from recent hip surgery, I kept him company in our livingroom, doodling out wallpapers on the iPad. This month’s wallpaper was entirely created in Procreate, with just the dates added in using Photoshop and my font, Miss Magnolia. The silver glitter you see is from my Procreate Metallic Texture Kit, available here. For the dates, ‘R’ is for Thursday, to distinguish it from a same-sized Tuesday ‘T’ at a glance.

Freebie: February 2017 Desktop Wallpapers

It’s the last Thursday in January, which means it’s time for your free February 2017 desktop wallpapers! This month’s wallpaper was created with a Micron 05 (.45mm), scanned in and vectorized in Illustrator. I cleaned up my vectors using my iPad Pro + Astropad app (here’s how I do that). I then colorized and sized it in Photoshop using my Glitz+ Glam Kit as well as the watercolor patterns from my Watercolor Texture Kit Vol. 3. Finally, the dates were added in (the ‘R’s’ stand for Thursday so as not to be confused with Tuesday). Yep, not the quickest process, but I love making em 😉

Freebie: February 2016 Rustic Desktop Wallpaper

Happy February! This month is an extra special month for me because on the 28th, I’ll be turning 30, and saying farewell to my 20’s forever. It’s funny how fast 10 years go by and how fast they don’t. When I was 20, I had just transferred from my community college in upstate NY to SCAD in Savannah, GA, where I didn’t know a single person. I was still working the customer service desk at the local grocery store during school breaks, eating dorm food for the first time, and navigating a new city by foot and by bus with my (very) untrustworthy natural sense of direction.
