Happy Tuesday! Now that we’re halfway through the year, it was about time to make a birthday card freebie! Save a little dough this year and show you care by going diy. 😉 This week’s freebie comes in 3 color schemes: red-orange, plumb + gold. Once folded, the card measures 6″x4″ and can be printed on any home printer using A4 or 8.5″x11″ cardstock or paper. Want a different size? Just change the scale percentage in your print menu. 😉
Now that we’re in wedding season, it felt fitting to make a wedding themed tutorial! So! In this week’s tutorial, we’ll create a fairytale themed wedding invitation from scratch using Illustrator. We’ll create the decorative flourishes using a wacom tablet, then typeset and organize our final, print ready file. Let’s get started!

Happy Tuesday! I saw a commercial yesterday that said Father’s Day is this weekend! Ah! To celebrate and help out those like me who didn’t pick up a card yet, I’ve got you covered 🙂 This week’s freebie is a printable, 6″x4″ Father’s Day card in two colors. For those that have ink in their home printers (blue background), and those who might be a little short on ink (white background). Print using A4 or 8.5″x11″ paper; template includes trim and score lines so getting it out in the mail or delivering in person is cake.
In this week’s tutorial, we’ll create an offset ink effect in Photoshop in just a few easy steps! We’ll begin with a solid background, add a skew to our text, create the effect, then add texture to our background to create consistency between our font + ink effect. Let’s get started!

We’ll create a custom vector decorative frame in Adobe Illustrator from scratch using this wacom tablet to draw the foundation of our frame, then use our mouse to clean up points. Finally, we’ll join all pieces together for one seamless path.
