Desktop Wallpapers, Freebies

It’s the last Thursday in April, which means it’s time for your free May 2018 desktop wallpapers! This month’s (May flowers) wallpaper was entirely created in Procreate, with just the dates added in using Photoshop and my font, Miss Magnolia. I used my custom monoline procreate brush for the entire piece, which is available for free in the Every-Tuesday Resource Library. The glitter details you see are from my Procreate Metallic Texture Kit, available here. For the dates, ‘R’ is for Thursday, to distinguish it from a same-sized Tuesday ‘T’ at a glance. 

The download includes the May 2018 desktop wallpapers in two common resolutions: 1280x1024px and 1920x1080px, with and without dates. I’ve left the year off of the ‘no-dates’ versions, so you can use it for any May in the future, too!

Did you know the 21st was the first day of Summer? 4 days ago, the world’s position said ‘I grant you Summer’ and we here in the US said, ‘why, thank you. I accept.’

Maybe that was just me.

I moved to Savannah, Georgia in 2006 to finish my undergrad at SCAD but also to escape the 6 month winters (that’s not a joke) Upstate NY so generously gifted me the previous 20 years. I grew a special love for summer waiting for it to come, while I shoveled snow every October through March. So, summer and I go way back, and even though summers are a bajillion times more intense in the South (now Atlanta) than I ever experienced in the North, it’s something I look forward to every single year.

Happy Tuesday! With summer just around the corner and everything getting more green by the day, I was in the mood to draw some flowers. 🙂 So! This week’s freebie is a mini flower kit: it includes 15 hand drawn vector flowers, leaves, stems + vines. Create combinations easily by putting different pieces together, so the kit gets even larger! These were all 100% hand drawn and vectorized. The download includes all 15 as an ai + eps file for versions of Illustrator, CS3 or newer.
