Happy Tuesday! Yesterday, my second Skillshare class, ‘Get Inked! How to Create Your Own Custom Rubber Stamp‘ was published! In the class, I take you through all the steps of getting your own custom rubber stamp made by an online manufacturer – one I’ve used over 20 times and still continue to use (and I’m not even affiliated with them! I just love their stamps ๐ ). We walk throughย how to take any artwork – whether digital or hand drawn and convert it into a perfect (affordable) custom rubber stamp you’ll have for years. To celebrate, today I’m sharing (only with my blog readers and YouTube audience) the second video from the class – a video you wouldn’t get to see unless you’re enrolled in the full course. I hope you enjoy it! If you’ve never checked out Skillshare before, you can get 30 days of free premium membership which will also get you full access to my class by clicking here.
p.s. I also want to pass along aย HUGEย thank you for all of your responses to my little survey last week! An Intro to Illustrator course was the majority winner followed by getting a full time graphic design job, then a photoshop focused course on graphic design for blogs and websites. It’s pretty likelyย I’ll create a course for all of these since there really wasn’t a landslide, but for now, be on the lookoutย for the Illustrator course in a few months from now ๐

Does the class include references of where to have them made affordably for resale?

Hey, yep! I share the manufacturer I use and walk through the ordering process if you’d like to use them. Margins for resale wouldn’t be huge, but there’s definitely a little room if you’d like to go that route ๐

This is so fabulous! Just what I need. I send out 100s of subscription illustrated letters every month thru Etsy and I NEED many varied rubberstamps!
A. But I am in Paris
B. someone gave me an engraver in the US and the charge was like $89 per stamp ;(
Any clue if Will they send to France and does it cost a fortune?
I’m going to sign up now on Skillshare.
Thanks so much for doing this Teela!
Cheers Carolg

Yay! That’s awesome – you’re going to love em ๐ They do ship internationally, and since it sounds like you need quite a few, they offer free shipping on orders totaling $200 or more, so best to get everything you need at once! ๐

Hey! Can you share where you get it made? I would like to know beforehand if they even ship to The Netherlands.. :/

Hey Emma! Sorry I can’t share on here – one of the selling points of the class – but I can tell you they ship internationally, and for free if you spend $200 or more, so if you need a bunch of different stamps, best to get them all at once. If you don’t need that many, shipping is based on weight and starts at ~$7

Thanks! I understand, the only thing that bothers me is that we need to pay customs on products from America, a new shipping law that is very frustrating and expensive… So can you tell me if they ship from America? And would you recommend watching/buying your class if I would not be able to get them at that specific company? Thanks!
TeelaC | Author | May 18, 2015

Yes, they do ship from America – they’re manufactured and shipped from the same place in Iowa. The course does go over more than just prepping the stamp for that manufacturer – I go over the different types of stamps you could make and a lot of people have found one of the videos in the course about all the different kinds of ink pads and what to use them for helpful. You can watch the course for free by using this link and getting 30 free days of premium membership, so then there’s no risk at all ๐

Great thanks, I have already had that 30 days trial period once but I will take a monthly membership for your class and some other classes I had saved ๐

Thanks Teela. This is so Great! I’ve been paying a fortune on Etsy and I still can’t find exactly the images I want. Noe I can make them myself for peanuts.
The class was terrific!

Yay! I’m so glad! The vendor was such a game changer for me with the few I’ve made I can’t imagine the difference it’ll make for you! I’m so happy I could help – thanks for taking the class! ๐

PS
By any chance do they do those ‘Clear transparent Stamps’ you mount on the plastic blocks? Or do you have a source for those in the class? Maybe easier to ship..

I’m really not sure – I’ve only ever needed/purchased rubber ones. If it’s not clear on the site, definitely send them an email – they seem really friendly and willing to help!
