It’s Tuesday! This week, we’re drawing 3 different types of eucalyptus together 🌿 These are great supporting elements to use in bouquets and they’re all super simple to make 🙂 Even better? We’re using just 4 colors to make them and only one brush (my free monoweight brush). You can grab both of those for free in the Resource Library.
Pin it for later!
3 Eucalyptus Types Anyone Can Draw in Procreate
Mentioned in this video:
Here’s a written overview of how to draw 3 eucalyptus types in Procreate:
- Seeded Eucalyptus: Start by drawing in the branches and stems first with the monoweight brush. All of the leaves will connect to the end of the branches and will have a soft point at the end. Switch between a light and dark green. Add in some extra details by adding a clipping mask, and draw in the leaf details. On a new layer, draw in new branches off of the main branch with your lightest green and then draw in the seeds.
- Willow Eucalyptus: Start by drawing in the branches. Draw in your leaves, long and skinny with points at the ends. Vary the distance between the leaves with them pointing upward for the most part. Repeat these steps with both your light and dark green.
- Silver Dollar Eucalyptus: Draw in a basic branch structure and start with your light green color. Draw in the leaves, generally circular with the tops having a little dimple. Repeat these steps with your dark green color. Connect all of the floating leaves to the main branches. Draw in the final details by adding a clipping mask and add in your leaf details.
- If you want, add in a dark colored background.
- Done!
