5 Lettering Enhancements Anyone Can Do in Procreate

I’ve got a fun lettering project for you this week that you can use for any of your holiday social posts or stationery! In the video, we go through 5 different lettering enhancements, compiling each one onto the one before it. You can use any of these individually or stack them just the same, so there are plenty of options to make it your own.

Here’s a written overview of 5 lettering enhancements anyone can do in Procreate:

Set your background color and create your lettering with the inky edge pro brush from the beautiful lettering brush set. Give a little space in between the letters because you will add in some blocks around the letters later.
Convert this into block lettering by keeping a consistent space around the entire letter. Then fill the block letters with a color. Drag this layer underneath your original layer.
Apply a 3D effect by tapping on the block letter thumbnail and choose select. Choose your next color, create a brand new layer and fill the layer with your color. Drag this layer right above the background color layer. Grab your selection tool and move it just a little bit down and to the right to create a faux 3D effect.
Select the orange layer thumbnail, choose a new color, create a brand new layer, tap on the layer thumbnail and choose fill layer. Drag that layer underneath the other colored layer. Grab your selection tool and move it just a little bit down and to the right to create a faux 3D effect.
Duplicate the green layer, select the bottom most layer and choose motion blur from the magic wand. Tap on the screen and drag it to the intensity you want.
Create a new layer, grab the heart cluster stamp and tap once on the screen. You can resize it if you want and reduce the opacity.
