Let’s get to this week’s tutorial! Today, we’re revisiting one of my favorites: fall wreaths! This one is a little different because we’re making an asymmetrical, semi-filled wreath and keeping plenty of room for some lettering
It’s Tuesday! Time for another tutorial 😉 This week, we’re painting 3 watercolor cactus doodles in Procreate! If you caught this tutorial a few weeks ago, this is the cactus version 🙂 In the video, we create simple containers filled with an Indian fig cactus and two versions of a saguaro cactus. You can use any brushes you’d like, though the ones shown are my watercolor illustration brushes. As always,the color palette is free + also available in the Resource Library.

Another Tuesday, another tutorial! In case you missed it, I just released my newest class, Watercolor Florals in Procreate, yesterday! The course covers how to create a variety of different florals and today, I wanted to share one of the first lessons from the class – how to create watercolor floral doodles! You can use the brushes shown in the video or you can use your own brushes if you’d like to change up the style. Use these on stationery, social media or even create a logo out of them. They’re really fun (and easy) to make and you’ll be able to follow along, even if you’re opening Procreate for the very first time.
If you’ve been here before, you already know I’m crazy about watercolor – traditional or digital. A couple years back, I shared how to vectorize watercolor textures, so today I want to share the process I use to vectorize watercolor lettering. We’ll start by creating our watercolor lettering traditionally using Arteza watercolor brush pens. Next, we’ll scan it into the computer, then finish it up by vectorizing in Illustrator. When I received these Karin markers a few weeks ago, I obsessively played with them for days on end. I’ve been breaking out my watercolors a bit more lately and have found myself painting a lot of autumn and winter themed illustrations. I thought I’d change things up a bit this week and share my method for painting an autumn watercolor branch. This is one of the first illustrations I learned how to paint and I love that there’s no pressure to get anything perfect. Add as many leaves, branches and organic curves as you’d like – there really is endless creative freedom here. We’ll go through the wet on dry technique, mix up custom pan set watercolors and talk about a few tips for painting leaves.
