We’re returning to flat style florals this week, but with a twist! We’ll be making things more complex by adding in some washi tape and creating a warped shadow to give the impression the flowers are lifting up from behind the tape! We’ll also be using all free brushes for this entire piece 😉
I’ve had a few requests for more flat style floral arrangements, so that’s what we’re making this week! This one is anchored by one rose with a few supporting florals and 4 different types of foliage. Simple enough that anyone can make it, but packed with skills, so there’s something for everyone 😉

Happy Tuesday! This week, we’re heading back to Adobe Illustrator for a fun beginner-style tutorial! We’ll create a vector coffee icon using simple shapes and add some depth with a flat design and an easy color palette. If you’ve never used Illustrator before or are just getting familiar with it, this is the perfect tutorial to get some basics down. At the end, you’ll have an infinitely rescalable vector icon you can use for web design, print work or to post to your social media accounts. Read on to see it all!
New Year’s Eve is less than a week away! To celebrate, I thought I’d cheers you Every-Tuesday style with a couple of cocktail glasses created in Adobe Illustrator. This tutorial is very doable if you’re a beginner, but the pace is a little quick, so just a head’s up. We’ll be in Illustrator CC for this one since we’re using the live corners option for smooth contours on our glasses. Before we hit the end of the year, I was brainstorming ideas for winter themed illustrations, and mittens seemed perfect. I love how easy they are to make your own: design/decoration, shape and color! In this beginner-friendly (but some prior knowledge will be helpful) tutorial, we create a pair of cute winter mittens in Adobe Illustrator. Follow exactly or edit them to make em your own!
