As we get closer to the end of April, I looked up when Mother’s Day was this year and was surprised to see it’s pretty early – May 8th! Looks like we’re also getting a Friday the 13th in May, which happens to be both my mom’s and my youngest sister’s birthday. I see a lot of card making in my near future 🙂

Freebie: April 2016 Desktop Wallpaper

Happy April tomorrow!

Everything felt very non-stop sprint throughout all of March. Most of it was due to my ocd with getting the ebook as perfect as possible. If I didn’t become a designer, I would have been a writer, so I naturally spend more time than I probably should carefully crafting sentences and evaluating word choices. But! It’s finally out into the world and I’ve returned to breathing once again 🙂 (I made a free preview of the book available yesterday! If you’re interested, click here to download it!)

I’m really looking forward to diving back into design tutorials this coming month. It seems like I’ve been away from them longer than 4 weeks and I’ve missed putting them together. Lately, I’ve been doing a lot of prep on an upcoming Intro to Photoshop class. This will be the best quality course I’ve ever done (a real production team-quality!) and it’s hard to keep in the excitement for it, but I’ll have many more details as the month goes on 🙂 I’m also planning my next Skillshare class this month, so if you’re on the every-tuesday email list, keep an eye out because free spots to the class will be heading your way soon!

How to Create a Holiday Photo Postcard

We are one week into December, which means we have one less week to send out holiday postcards! Since we created some nice holiday assets the last couple of weeks, I wanted to share how you could easily repurpose them for a holiday photo postcard, 3 ways. In this week’s tutorial, we’ll create a print ready holiday photo postcard in Photoshop with a little help from the Glitz + Glam Kit to quickly and easily get your holiday postcards off of your to do list 🙂 The final postcard is sized 7″x5″ and can fit snugly into any A7 sized envelope. Freebie: Printable Father’s Day Card

You know how you see Christmas decorations when it’s only Halloween? I feel kind of like that with sharing a free printable Father’s Day card today. Well, we are less than a month out, so it’s not as crazy as the Christmas in October shenanigans, so I think we’re cool. I gave away the free Mother’s day card two weeks before the holiday and it had such a great response, I felt bad I hadn’t shared it sooner. So!
