I’ve got a fun lettering project for you this week that you can use for any of your holiday social posts or stationery! In the video, we go through 5 different lettering enhancements, compiling each one onto the one before it. You can use any of these individually or stack them just the same, so there are plenty of options to make it your own.
When it comes to lettering in Procreate, I’m often asked how to create lettering on a curve. Unfortunately, Procreate doesn’t currently have a way to type along a path (which would be the perfect template), so we have to get a little creative, but it *can* be done! This week, I’m sharing two ways you can do it.
I just loooove a layered illusion, especially when it’s made of simple elements where your eyes don’t have to focus on a zillion things. What’s better is being able to replicate that same process with any element! Today I’m sharing a really easy method for an impactful depth illusion and we’re doing it all with *one* brush. Use this on stationery, social media posts, quote graphics…you name it!
I’m revisiting a favorite this week – line art with watercolor! I wanted to keep the palette super simple with this one (only 4 colors!) and we freehand everything with simple imperfect shapes and lots of satisfying smudging.

You can use this for any kind of promo throughout the year, or change up the messaging to create a fun gift tag for any personal occasion, too!
Happy Tuesday! Today we’re creating something I love, love to make – digital stickers! This is such a fun effect to apply to your work because it looks like they’re actually lifting up off the screen!
I’m labeling this tutorial as advanced because there are several steps utilizing different methods to achieve our look. If you’re an intermediate Procreate user, this will be a fun challenge project to do! Once you have the steps down, you can apply the effect to any graphic you’d like.
This week, we’re drawing a wrapped flower bouquet in Procreate! We’re adding a little bit of complexity to things by creating several floral elements and working in a very organized fashion with layers and groups. We’re also adding in a few shadow elements to add dimension to the whole piece. We’ll finish it off with a sweet message – hand lettered or with editable text.

Happy Tuesday! This week, we’re changing things up a bit and trying out a new style! In this week’s video, we’re creating watercolor sketch style basil in Procreate. This is a loose, fun style that gives you a lot of freedom and permission to experiment (also perfect for beginners ;). In the video, we create a sketch based on a photograph, then layer in limited color to build a little depth. We finish things up with a texture and color layered shadow for extra dimension and add in some sketch style lettering to tie everything together.

This month’s wallpaper was entirely created in Procreate, with just the dates added in using Photoshop and my font, Miss Magnolia. I’ve wanted to try a ribbon style lettering wallpaper for awhile and December felt like the perfect month for it! If this is something you’d like to see a tutorial for, leave a comment and I’ll put it on my list! For the dates, ‘R’ is for Thursday, to distinguish it from a same-sized Tuesday ‘T’ at a glance.
The download includes the December 2019 desktop wallpapers in two common resolutions: 1280x1024px and 1920x1080px, with and without dates.
