Just a few more days left in 2022! To ring in the new year this week, I’ve got a glittery new year’s firework animation for you! ✨

This is a beginner to intermediate animation tutorial, so if you’ve taken my free Procreate for Beginners class, you’ll have no trouble following along. I’ve sized it perfectly for Instagram reels, but please feel free to adjust it however you’d like!

I love experimenting with simple illusions in Procreate – especially when it comes to paper and stationery. My latest idea was to see if I could create a peeling paper effect and apply it to typography. Once I got it working the way I imagined it, I couldn’t wait to share it with you! This one is wayyyy easier than it looks, too – aren’t those always the best? 😉

Ok you guys, just *one* more pattern tutorial 😂This was too fun and too easy to resist sharing. The last couple of pattern tutorials were definitely on the more advanced side, but this one is perfect for intermediate/ambitious beginners!

We’ll start by making our lettering brush and I’ll show you an easy way to preview/adjust the pattern before adding it to the brush. I share all of my brush settings and then we start playing with it! You’ll see how to apply it to shapes for quick wreaths and then we’ll fill out our summery lettering with florals and foliage accents, finished off with some paint splatter and a watercolor paper texture.

It’s time for our final tutorial (no.6) in this year’s holiday series! But don’t worry – I still have a New Year’s design up my sleeve for next week 😉 Today, we’re creating holiday lights, surrounding them with evergreen elements and then making our bulbs and lettering glow! I’m labeling this an intermediate tutorial, but there are a few advanced skills thrown in, too, if you’re up for an extra challenge.
