Let’s get to this week’s tutorial! Today, we’re revisiting one of my favorites: fall wreaths! This one is a little different because we’re making an asymmetrical, semi-filled wreath and keeping plenty of room for some lettering
Happy Tuesday! This week, we’re using a few simple tricks to create easy floral borders quickly in Procreate! This tutorial is extremely beginner friendly and uses two free brushes: my monoweight brush and dotted brush. For the lettering, I’m using the Round Marker brush from my Font Lovers Procreate Brush Set, but you can use any lettering brush you’d like. As always, the color palette is free + also available in the Resource Library along with those free brushes.

Welcome to episode 4 of Style Studies! Style Studies is my monthly series where I walk you through a popular hand lettering style and provide free printable and Procreate practice sheets so you can follow along! This month, we’re diving into decorative serif lettering in 4 easy steps with a style I’m calling Party Slab. This style is a heavy slab serif, that lends itself well to extra decoration, like inline details and creative shadows. It’s best used in headlines, set in all caps and has a festive and fun feeling. Read on to grab the practice sheets and create it yourself!
If you’ve been here before, you already know I’m crazy about watercolor – traditional or digital. A couple years back, I shared how to vectorize watercolor textures, so today I want to share the process I use to vectorize watercolor lettering. We’ll start by creating our watercolor lettering traditionally using Arteza watercolor brush pens. Next, we’ll scan it into the computer, then finish it up by vectorizing in Illustrator. This month’s wallpaper was entirely created in Procreate, with just the dates added in using Photoshop and my font, Miss Magnolia. I’ve wanted to try a ribbon style lettering wallpaper for awhile and December felt like the perfect month for it! If this is something you’d like to see a tutorial for, leave a comment and I’ll put it on my list! For the dates, ‘R’ is for Thursday, to distinguish it from a same-sized Tuesday ‘T’ at a glance.
The download includes the December 2019 desktop wallpapers in two common resolutions: 1280x1024px and 1920x1080px, with and without dates. I’ve left the year off of the ‘no-dates’ versions, so you can use it for any December in the future, too! If you download these wallpapers often, please read below for an important update about 2020.

I wanted to try something new this week! I thought it would be fun to show how to create something analog/traditionally, then how to recreate that same artwork in Procreate.
