My newest Skillshare class, Watercolor Textures for Graphic Design, went live on Monday, and I’m so excited to share that nearly 1,000 wonderful creatives have already enrolled in the class! Creating watercolor textures from scratch – the act of sitting with a brush in hand, swirling colors together in unique ways – is one of my favorite times to relax and kind of let the art be made without thinking too hard. It’s definitely easy to lose track of time once you get started, but also awesome to then have so many cool new textures to work with. If you’re ever short on ideas on how you can start using those newly created textures, today I’m rounding up a bunch of inspiration with ways to start applying your watercolor textures in graphic design. Read on to see them all!

With the launch of my recent Skillshare class, Metallic Magic, and the Glitz + Glam Digital Foil and Glitter Kit, I wanted to dedicate a post to some inspiration on how you can use your new digital foil and glitter making skills. While I had a blast creating those sparkly textures, I’ve had even more fun applying them to designs, hand lettering, stamp effects and more. Today I want to share some digital foil and glitter inspiration to get you excited about all the opportunities out there to get your logos noticed, enhance your portfolio, make your website shine, etc. Have a look below and get ready to take your designs further 😉

In celebration of my brand new Watercolor Texture Kit Vol. 2, this week I’m giving away 3 watercolor greeting cards! Fill them in and use them for whatever you’d like – they’re any occasion and can be printed using any home printer along with 8.5″x11″ or A4 paper or cardstock. The final cut + printed size is 6″x4″ which fits perfectly into any A4 sized invitation envelope. Trim + score marks are included, so cutting and folding are a cinch 🙂

You know how you see Christmas decorations when it’s only Halloween? I feel kind of like that with sharing a free printable Father’s Day card today. Well, we are less than a month out, so it’s not as crazy as the Christmas in October shenanigans, so I think we’re cool. I gave away the free Mother’s day card two weeks before the holiday and it had such a great response, I felt bad I hadn’t shared it sooner. So! To make sure the option for a free semi-diy Father’s Day card is on the table earlier on, here it is, along with your 3 week notification the holiday is coming 🙂

Happy Tuesday + happy almost Thanksgiving! In honor of one of our best holidays, this week’s freebie is a set of 4 unique, hand lettered mini thank you cards. The download includes all 4 in a pdf with printing, cutting + folding instructions. Final printed + folded size is 4″x2″ which -fancy this- fits perfectly in the mini envelopes freebie! Use these babies to thank a friend by attaching to a bouquet of flowers, or as a placecard on your Thanksgiving, or any table 🙂 And a HUGE, special + heartfelt thank YOU for visiting, downloading, watching + commenting. You’ve really made all the time + effort it takes to add content on a weekly basis so worth it! It’s been a great blogging year, and I can’t wait to do it all again – even more frequently in the coming year 🙂 xoxo

Hey friends, I’m back! Thanks so much for understanding the small break – we’re still very much in the midst of unpacking + cleaning every square inch of the apartment, but we’re here – we are officially in our house as homeowners 🙂 We couldn’t have asked for things to move smoother – we found the house within 2.5 weeks of looking and officially owned it 3 weeks later! If anyone is looking for a realtor in or around Atlanta, let me know and I’ll hook you up 😉 Anyway! With a house so much on the brain, it seemed only right to make some real estate/home themed icons!
