Today I’m excited to announce my newest online course, 3D Lettering in Procreate! This course will walk you through all of the tools, workflow and effects needed to create believable + stunning, pop-off-the-screen dimensional iPad lettering! The course was created with beginners in mind and includes an entire ‘beginner basics’ section to get you comfortable with 3D essentials so you can feel confident heading into the advanced projects later on in the course. No lettering experience is necessary – I share my trick for using existing typefaces if that’s something you’d prefer 😉 The course also comes with ALL of the original Procreate files from the videos, so you’ll have them as reference if you ever need them. Today I’m sharing the course trailer plus additional details, below!

Today is one of the biggest days to date on Every-Tuesday. Our very first long-form, self hosted course (only available on every-tuesday) is officially open today, titled Brush Lettering with Watercolor!

Two years ago, I decided to go all-in with my brush lettering. I tried (what felt like) every supply out there, watched demos, looked at inspiration, read books, you name it. My lettering was improving very slowly, and I experienced a lot of frustration. A lot of overwhelm. A lot of second guessing. It felt like I was doing everything right, but my outcomes just didn’t feel like they were quite there. I started implementing a few new techniques and that’s when things really took a turn for me. I remember the night it finally came together so well, like I had cracked a special code.

Happy Tuesday! I’m so excited I get to bring my newest online class to you this week, Mastering Mockups! In the class, we take original artwork, apply a little photoshop trickery, and put that artwork on products which look convincingly real. This is the perfect sales tool if you’re a seller on Etsy and need better product photography, if you’re a freelancer who wants to impress and convince your client to approve the artwork you created for them, or if you’d like to level up your design portfolio making fictitious projects come to life. You can also use the class’s techniques to create social media posts, blog images, digital product sales pages and more. Your enrollment in the class gets you all 4 base photos used in the class for free. With those photos, you’ll be able to follow along, completing every step as we go 😉

Keeping with tradition, I’m sharing the class trailer today, along with a bonus lesson from the class. In this lesson, we’ll create a single use, social media mockup. Are you ready to mock?! Everything below!

I am beyond thrilled to introduce my newest font today, Hawthorne Script! A lot of love and many, manyyyy hours went into this baby and I couldn’t be happier with how it came out. I packed more into this font than any other before it so you can take it much further than a typical, standard font.

Along with the regular style, a second style is included that contains a full alternate lowercase – just highlight any regular letter and switch it to the ‘alternates’ style to create words that look even more original and handmade! 10 bonus swashes are included (5 left side, 5 right side) as well as 9 standard ligatures. I enjoyed creating this font so much that the language compatibility is a little off the charts: English, German, Dutch, Italian, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish, Polish, Hungarian, Croatian, Czech, Slovak, Slovenian, Bosnian, Albanian, Estonian, Catalan, Danish, Faroese, Finnish, Icelandic and Norwegian. Phew.

Font previewer below so you can take it for a spin, as well as some additional preview images!

Today is a pretty gigantic day over here at every-tuesday. After 6 months in the making (and an entire last week on very little sleep), I’m excited to announce the Full Time Graphic Design ebook is finally available! This was a big project – the ebook itself is 74 pages long, and there are countless bonuses (even one including a full portfolio review + evaluation by me personally!).

What started as a basic guide evolved into a deep dive with little clips of my own experiences, from being hired – and hiring – and super specific tips (like the exact days and times which are best to send a cold email). Once I got going, I couldn’t stop myself from thinking of more and more little nuggets I had to include 🙂 Check out all the details here, and a full outline below!

Oh my gosh, you guys. It’s finalllllly done! Today I’m happy to announce the debut of my first ever brush script font, Tuesday Script! I started this font in early December, following the same processes as the font project, but this time in script form, so there were a few adjustments to make sure all the letters flowed and connected properly together. Plus – this font comes with international supported characters so how those were made in the program was another learning experience 🙂 I took the leap and purchased the pro version of Glyphs (which is not so cheap, but I was able to get a discount by providing them with my itunes receipt from my Glyphs Mini purchase). I’m no expert yet, and when I figure some of the fancier features out, I may create a full class (is that something you’d want?), but for now, I’m celebrating the win of having the font complete and ready for you!

Spencer coded up another text editor, so you can try the full font out below. I’d love to hear what you think!

I’ve been teasing a little over on instagram about a big Every-Tuesday announcement, and I’m so excited to announce it today! When I first started Every-Tuesday in October 2013, my sole purpose was to help aspiring designers (formally trained or self taught) find confidence in their work and improve their skills affordably while also making some really cool artwork along the way. Urged by co-workers at my full time job to create video tutorials sharing some of my program tricks, I set my nerves and self doubt aside. I bought a usb mic, some screen recording software, and sat uncomfortably in front of my computer to record my first video tutorial in January of 2014.
